Good Morning,Steve!
I am sitting here drinking my coffee and was going back over the evening Don and I spent with you laughing last night.
Your show came at the right time for me.
-I am returning to the school year soon as a support professional.
-I am navigating some challenging family dynamics as my mother ages in place with my sister as her caregiver. Along with the family dynamics are
-the financial housekeeping tasks that go along with her needing those tasks to be done by someone else. -My church has gone through two pastors in the short time that Don and I have been members and the joy and spiritual supports that I have found from my spiritual homes in the past are not as clearly present. -Both Don and I have neurodivergent brains and learning to connect and communicate through all of the circumstances we are in the midst of keeps us on our toes.
Your most valuable parts of the show for me were clearly calling out the ways people process and communicate leading to me becoming your perfect audience member for the evening, even as you were showing how the opposite characteristics are also amazing and necessary. As I sat next to my analytical, extroverted, pessimistic, things are just as they are, husband.
The beauty of your show is that he left shaking his head with his mind blown. I often see things that ‘don’t make sense’ to Don. He has been a Buddhist practitioner for 30 years and has not ever felt joy in that practice. “We are all gonna die, we are always in transformation/“. Yet he was the one who asked to go to the show.
To have you share those pieces of your practice and yet see and access Synchronicities of the Universe will take him awhile to integrate.
There is a lot more I could say but mostly thank you for a big mental boost and reminder that my beliefs and perceptions are subjective and changeable for joy.
